of Kagayanon International!
The Toronto-Ontario Kagayanon International welcomes Kagayanons and friends all over the world to the KI 14th Tapok at the majestic Niagara Falls on July 25-28, 2013, Sheraton On The Falls.
“Tapok” is a Filipino bisayan dialect in Cagayan de Oro and other bisayan areas in the Philippines, which means “gather”.
In 1982, the Kagayanon International Chapters in the US and Canada started to gather together or “tapok-tapok” in Chicago, U.S., to touch base, reminisce its time in Cagayan de Oro and the Philippines, discuss how to extend any assistance to the beloved hometown and its people, build friendship and to have fun together through picnic, dancing, sightseeing and group presentations.
The rest is history, as Tapok event is now on its 14th season and is also the biggest convention type gathering of Kagayanons and friends abroad held every two years including school, class or group reunions and golf event and attended by Kagayanons from Europe, Australia and other parts of the world and by church officials, local government executives, congress representatives and tourism officials from Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental.
And continuing the Tapok tradition of excitement, the world’s famous Niagara Falls, the convention and tourist capital of Canada will be the site of Tapok 2013 and KI Toronto-Ontario is proud to host the event and to welcome Kagayanons and friends all over the world!
